
Bio
Dr. Monique Desjardins, M.D., M.Sc., FRCPC is a Neuro-Psychiatrist. After her residency in psychiatry at the Université de Montréal, she completed a master’s degree in sleep and a fellowship at the Hospital Sloane Kettering in New York in consultation-liaison (psycho-oncology). She is a member of the Executive Committee of the CPDP of the CIUSS of the North Island of Montreal, of which she was vice-president for a year. She was also head of the specialized and subspecialized ambulatory clinics at the same hospital. She works in the psychosomatic medicine program with patients suffering from head trauma, neurological diseases and cancer. She practices existential therapy and brief psychodynamic therapy.
